According to the Law of the Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) Republic on “Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Nagorno Karabakh Republic” of 31 August 2001, to enter Artsakh foreign citizens should have valid foreign passports or other documents replacing them, and an Artsakh entry visa.

To obtain an entry visa, foreign nationals are required to send a completed online application and the following documents to the email address armconsul@mfa.nkr.am  at least 10 working days prior to the tentative arrival:

• Identification document (passport)
• Filled-in visa application
• A 3x4 size photo

The applicants are informed of the status of their visa application on the day they plan to enter Artsakh.

Artsakh Republic entry visas are issued at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Artsakh in the Republic of Armenia:

! After getting the visa, foreign citizens should make sure to enter Artsakh on the day indicated in their application.
